Mark Edward's The House Guest

Having recently discovered Edwards books, I decided to give this one a try, whilst I didn't love it, it did keep me interested to a degree...

...it's a tale of a young couple house sitting in an unfamiliar city who allow a stranger to stay with them in said house....seriously why would you
a- agree to let a complete stranger move into a house that isn't actually yours?
and
b- allow this stranger to insert themselves into your life and relationship?

Anyways, this is indeed what happens, which leads to one half of the couple disappearing along with the stranger...

...I'm not totally convinced about the ending, and I didn't really consider it to be particularly mysterious or suspenseful. Having said this, it hasn't put me off reading Mark Edward's books, he may not have delivered what I'd hoped for in this one, but we all have off days.
