The Liars by Petronella McGovern

...like how where this story is set in a town built on the blood of its indigenous people, reality check, as are the majority of towns on our planet, and the toxic male influences that are cultivated from generation to generation...nothing new there, unfortunately.

If I'm totally honest it felt like McGovern wanted to infuse her tale with as many topical issues as possible without really doing a deep dive into any of them...

...is it a tale of courage, of exposing lies? Hmmm I'll let you make your own decision on that one...
